Share the Love for Kindle Vella Romance

Romance: (n) A feeling of excitement and mystery associated with love.

Romance is one of the most popular fiction genres in the world today. If you think about what the world is like, it makes sense that people are searching for the emotions associated with falling in love to help transport them away from the challenges of everyday life in 2023. I know that when I was growing up, romance books were synonymous with "bodice-ripper" culture, in which the dashing hero appeared to save the swooning female and they fell immediately and happily into love and they rode off into the sunset. Of course there have always been other kinds of romance available on the market, but the 80s and 90s was a time those particular styles of romance books were popular. As a voracious reader, I had the opportunity to see the genre grow and change as I aged. Romance has become a genre of intense growth and writers are putting out new and innovative takes on the ideals of "love" every day. There are so many sub-genres of romance out there today that any reader could find what they love to read. From monsters to bullies to fluffy fantasies to spicy lust-filled erotica, the romance genre has something to offer every reader.

The Kindle Vella platform is another way that romance readers can find stories they want to read. Authors post episodes of their stories for readers to follow, and many Vella authors later post the completed story as an e-book. I thought it would be an appropriate Valentine's Day treat for my readers to share a few Vella romances!

I love writing contemporary romance. As both a writer and a reader of romance, I enjoy the fun escapism and ability to believe in happy endings. One storm of the century. Two bitter exes. Three days stuck at HQ. What could possibly go wrong?

Genre: Regency Era Romance/ Adventure

I've really enjoyed writing this serial story. Loving a Dangerous Man has allowed me to put in some twists and turns as the characters develop and fall deeper in love. Everything isn't all sunshine and roses which (in my opinion) helps the love seem more genuine. Flaws, doubts and missteps are part of life and you'll see those play out in my stories! ~Kurt Ashton

Two people with little hope for a marriage proposal come face to face with the fact they might be suited to one another.

Genre: Romantic Comedy

It's exciting and fun,{writing vella stories} reminds me of buying episodes of my favorite comics as a kid. It allows me to have fun engagement with readers and feel a part of the reading process rather than removed if I were publish a whole book. I enjoy feeling connected to the readers as we go on a journey together. ~Briella Wallis

Genre: 90s Teen Rom-Com

Never thought I would write romance, as I have always written fantasy & sci-fiction and poetry growing up. After telling my kids about how me and their dad met and all the pieces that came together to make it happen, they were fascinated and told me I should write the story. So I decided to write a mostly fictional story that I could share but using the pieces of our story that ultimately led us to each other!~Hetza E.

While becoming aware of something so much bigger than just this reality, Hannah is awakening into her supernatural/psychic abilities and learning that she is here for so much more, and the others in her life are pieces of her universe that are leading her through her journey and to the boy in her dreams!

Genre: Historical Adventure Romance (with swashbuckling!)

I love Vella because it's a natural writing form for me. I can't just write a short story, but do tend to write in vignettes, so serial fiction is the perfect marriage.

I honestly struggle with the concept of "chapter writing" and I am very good at saying a lot with a few words so I tend to keep my reader at a brisk pace. Serial fiction allows them to keep swimming through the book or take needed breath before diving back in. ~Cheryl Trent

It's got action, adventure, sword fighting, sailing, romance, intrigue, betrayal, murder, and yes it's a kissing book

Genre: Time-Travel Romance

When Rae catches the attention of the prince's brother, the fallen heir, forbidden love puts her chances of winning the Trials - and her life - on the line. Torn between love, life, and justice, Rae must rise up and fight with everything she has.

She enters a different kind of engagement to be his fake girlfriend, but who's kidding who in the end?

Genre: M/M Fantasy Romance

Writing for Kindle Vella fits my very busy lifestyle and allows me to produce content for readers much more quickly than if I was focused on one novel at a time. ~AR DeClerck
